Welcome to my website. I started painting in March 2020 ( the start of the pandemic) and, to date, have produced well over two hundred paintings, all acrylic and all on stretched canvasses of varying sizes.
I paint a wide range of subjects, simply selecting things that catch my eye. So far I work exclusively from photo references (I haven't ventured outside to paint yet!- actually that's no longer true, I had the good fortune to be selected as a wildcard for landscape artist of the year this year so my first plein air painting!!!!).
Most are my own photo references, what you'd call original subjects, but I have also delved into several 'free' photo websites for topics.
In addition I have 'copied' several well-established artists, just for the fun of it (after all, why not have an 'original' copy of an old master on my walls.... I haven't got the odd £40 million lying around). These include Van Gogh, Rembrandt, Lowry and Vermeer.

I'm happy to take commissions and have so far successfully completed well over twenty. New lines I am looking at are pet portraits and house portraits which seem very popular.
